A major part of our business is supporting e-government initiatives in the public sector, at the national and local government levels.

The Know Edge Consortium have been involved in location enabling some of the most influential e-government national initiatives in the UK that have significantly shaped the sector over the past decade. These have included:

UK National Land Information Service (NLIS)
Support in developing a UK National Land Information Service (NLIS) strategy, including issues such as market research, NLIS organisation and governance, fee charging strategies, and development and implementation strategies, including the feasibility of private sector investment

Programme Management of the Acacia Programme
An initiative to deliver a definitive, consistent and joined-up national infrastructure of property addresses and related data to a consortium of government agencies: Land Registry, Registers of Scotland, Ordnance Survey, Royal Mail, Valuation Office and IDEA

Estate Information Management System, Defence Estates, Ministry of Defence (MoD)
Programme management of the implementation of the MoD Wide Estate Information Systems strategy. A major component of the programme is to establish common referencing of assets and generate a MIS to support the Estate Strategy worldwide

Location Strategy, UK Government
Programme to support the UK GI Panel to formulate a UK Location Strategy and associated business case
